Africa's economic restructuring demands a different approach compared to newly industrializing nations that drive growth through the mass manufacturing model. Automation and globalization offer an alternative route to growth through brain export. Workers based in Africa, integrated into global value chains, trade their intellectual capital for foreign currency. In a hybrid gathering with policy makers, AIA will explore the brain export model, drawing lessons from countries such as India and the Phillippines which have excelled in nurturing IT and other knowledge for export.   We are committed to nurturing a committed and coordinated community of practice through our Policy and Practice Labs. Our Policy and Practice Labs serve as platforms for innovation, experimentation, and learning for senior leaders across civil society, government, business, academia, and media.
